Allied Health Addition,
Central Campus, San Jacinto College District

The Allied Health Addition is adding to the original Health Science building designed by IBI Group in the early 1990s. The new addition has a triangular plan concept to respond to site restrictions and to allow it to seamlessly connect to the original building. Building features include state-of-the-art laboratories, tiered lecture classrooms, computer labs, recycling areas and administrative offices.

As one of the many projects over a 25-year relationship with San Jacinto College, Robert Trabanino served as the lead designer for this addition, as well as the other three projects under construction at San Jacinto College. This project included sustainable finishes, such as a solar screen, daylighting, a bioswale, and a rainwater harvesting system which allows for no portable water to be used for landscaping.

+ This project is LEED Silver Certified.
