One of the earliest campuses in Cypress-Fairbanks ISD, Bane Elementary School, had an extreme makeover. Before Bane, there were two buildings connected by an outdoor canopy. The renovated campus is now unified into one building. Originally sited with the school entrance on Kaiser Street, it was relocated to Premier Street in order to face the middle school and double the square footage. A carefully planned and executed phased demolition and construction prevented the need to add portable buildings during the year and cut the construction time in half.
Designing the campus to meet the latest educational program established by Cypress-Fairbanks ISD required the following improvements: an enlarged kitchen, cafeteria, stage, music room, three science labs and a multi-purpose gym. While the open classroom concept was maintained in lieu of corridors to access classrooms, a centralized flex classroom allows for interference free circulation to classrooms in the designated pod.
+ Master planning was completed by IBI Group for this district.
